2nd Call for AMable in Additive Manufacturing

AMable - Support for the development of innovative ideas of functional products that require Additive Manufacturing.

This second call for AMable (AMable OC 2) was intended to support European SMEs that carry out "application experiments" to develop an innovative idea of ​​functional products that need Additive Manufacturing (or Additive Manufacturing - AM). In particular, the types of experiments that will be financed are:

Feasibility studies: experiments of 3 to 6 months, with a TRL of 3 to 5, to use between 1 and 3 of the project services and with a cost of between € 5,000 and € 25,000. Good practice experiments: experiments of 4 to 12 months, with a TRL 4-8, to use more than 2 of the services provided by the project, and with a cost of between € 10,000 and € 60,000.

The call is open to SMEs from the European Union. For feasibility studies, the Experimentation Team must consist, at least, of a legal entity (SME) in the role of supplier (with the aim of bringing the product idea to market) and, for good practices, the team The experiment must consist of at least one supplier (SME supplying parts or services to, for example, consumers or industries) and one user (a company that intends to use the product in the market). The maximum number of partners in an experimental team for a good practice is three.

To incorporate additive manufacturing, the selected companies will receive:

Financial support: up to 70% of eligible costs justified, with a maximum of € 60,000 per participant and call and a maximum of € 100,000 per participant throughout the project);

and AMable Services, whose objective is to improve the skills of employees in the areas of AM design, technology development, education, and support business development.

OBJECTIVE: Accelerate the incorporation of additive manufacturing technologies in the European Union, from design to the manufacture of functional parts. AMable is creating a digital framework to provide unbiased access to the best European knowledge in AM to support this incorporation.
